Biography

Mary Hathaway was born abt 1655 Dartmouth, Bristol county, Massachusetts, a daughter of Arthur Hathaway and Sarah Cooke. About 1681, Mary married Samuel Hammond, son of Benjamin Hammond and Mary Vincent. Born circa 1656, Samuel died in Rochester, Massachusetts, in 1728, occupation Yeoman. Children of May and Samuel include:

  • Benjamin Hammond (18 Dec 1681-bef 1728)
  • Seth Hammond (13 Feb 1682/3-28 Feb 1737), married Mary "Mercy" Randall, daughter of John Randall
  • Rosamond Hammond (8 May 1684-Jan 1726/7), married John Spooner, son of John Spooner (1648-1734)
  • Samuel Hammond (8 Mar 1685-aft 12 Jul 1728) married Priscilla Sampson, daughter of James and Hannah Sampson
  • Thomas Hammond (16 Sep 1687-) married Sarah Spooner, daughter of William Spooner and Alice Blackwell

Hathaway-1782 and Hathaway-128 appear to represent the same person because: I don't think she had a daughter named Maria. Please find sources before merge. Also place of death is wrong on here.
