It’s time for our annual Ireland Project check-in! Please respond within the next two weeks to let me know:

If you are happy with the team you’re on or if you’d like to make a change. It is now required that all members with an Ireland project badge work on at least one of the project’s team(s), so if you’ve not yet signed up please do so in your reply to this check-in.

• What you think the project is doing well, and what (if any) changes you would like to see us make? Are there any teams you would like to become more active in?

• Would you be interested in helping to work on an Ireland Project newsletter?

• Please give us some feedback on the use of google group and discord. Do you use one or both of these? If you don’t use either of them, what is the best way for us to ensure you receive project communications? If you would like to join us on either one, just let us know in your response and we will get you signed up.

As indicated in our help pages, many times all the data on two profiles does not match exactly, that should not prevent the merge when other data on the profiles, such as parents, spouses or other dates indicate a match. Please do not reject merges unless the profiles clearly represent different people. WikiTree is a collaborative site and you need to work with others to determine the correct information, especially when primary sources, such as birth marriage and death records are not available. Please make sure you have read through https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Matching_and_Merging_FAQ

I wrote to you in May about the restructuring of the Ireland Project. I don’t seem to have received a reply. In the circumstance I presume you no longer wish to be a member of the Ireland Project. We’ll be sorry to lose you, but unless I hear from you by the end of July I will delete the active Project member badge from your profile.

The relationship comments that are posted on profiles of widely-shared ancestors get broadcast to all the profile managers. Before posting a message, please consider if the profile managers and visitors to the profile will find it of interest.

As a reminder, Wikitree is a different kind of family tree site. We share our ancestors, every person in our ancestry should be represented by only one profile. Merging is the way that we combine the data from two or more profiles that represent the same person.
