Communication Preferences: I am interested in communicating private message with cousins and anyone else with an interest in genealogy. Here is my family tree.
I became interested in my family genealogy after having watched my grandparents explore their own as a child. My maternal grandfather, Jesse Overman Ballard, made a strong imprint on me with his whimsical storytelling and never-ending curiosity. I recently came across a quote of his that speaks volumes:

Oft times old, senile elderly people waken early in the morning and thoughts of days gone by floor your brain. This morning I awakened thinking of my ancestors and persons connected with them. A million things whiz by and out of my cranium.

Hello Elizabeth,

What a charming quote to connect with genealogy. :)

I'm actually here to give you the Pre-1700 links. Here's the prepared bit:

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Pre-1700 ancestors can be shared by many descendants, so collaboration is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

You've already got 1776, Mayflower, and PGM, so you should have enough connections. If you want another project to join, I’m going to suggest that the [New Jersey] project might fit your current research focus because that's the set of profiles you were working on when you took the Pre-1700 road. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find other possibilities. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.

Please take your time. Accuracy is so much more important than speed on WikiTree. And please add locations, dates, and at least one reliable source to each profile, particularly any pre-1700s profile, before you leave it. (See: Pre-1700 Reliable Sources).

Have questions? Ask in the comments section of my profile.

 :)
