This is the time for the annual 2024 check in with members of the Military and War Project. Have you been active during the last six months in the Military and War Project? Do you want to remain working with this project? Note that it is a requirement to respond to the Military and War Project Check-ins. Please respond to this message by clicking the reply button below this message, to post your answer. I look forward to hearing from you..
Many thanks,
Mary, Project Coordinator, Military & War
My husband is taking every minute of my time as his health deteriorates. I love genealogy, especially researching my ancestors who fought for our country’s freedoms. However, I am going to have to bow out of the Military & War project at this time. Thank you Diane
Many thanks,
Mary~ Project Coordinator, Military and War Project
I’m working to improving the profiles of those in my family who served in the military. I’ve discovered, through working on this, just how MANY of my ancestors were in the military but also served during a war. It’s been an amazing journey. I’m a bit slow but that comes with old age I guess. Diane Peel-486
Mary
We're doing our semi-annual check-in to ask whether you have made contributions to the project in the last six months?
Please note that it is a requirement for membership in the 1776 Project that you respond to this check-in. Please post your response as a reply to this message on your page, for convenience of record keeping.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Betty -- 1776 Project Leader
I’m not sure exactly what to do. If you will give me suggestions on what is needed I’ll do it. I signed up for the project because I have about 12 Patriot ancestors. I’ve been so busy cleaning up biographies I really haven’t concentrated on the 1776 Project. Diane
Good luck and Best regards, Betty

Good luck! Betty
I had already looked at this before deciding on which team I wanted to be on. I WILL be referring back to it though. As a 20+ year member of the DAR and other lineage societies and a member of several Historical Societies, I am a stickler on documentation and making sure the person IS the person one is looking for. I'm looking forward to helping improve the Profiles for those who are our country's Patriots. If it's ok, I'm going to start with those in my family, then I'd like to see about those in my DAR Chapter. Diane
Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important that you read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles help page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines laid out on that page.

Don't feel crazy, it takes a little time to figure out WikiTree when you first get here. It'll feel much better as soon as you get the swing of it.
I checked and do not see where you have uploaded your gedcom yet. Under your name where it says "Diane's 3 contributions" is where I clicked to see. You can use that to check yourself :)
Let me know whenever and however I can be helpful.
I hope you're enjoying WikiTree.
