Question

The third annual Connect-a-Thon is coming up soon! The goal of our marathon event: decrease the number of profiles that are not connected to our big tree by adding relatives to existing profiles [more participation info].

The event will start on Friday, July 23, at 8 AM (EDT) and run until Monday, July 26, at 8 AM (EDT).

Will you join us?

To register, just click the ANSWER button and say "Sign me up!" or whatever and include a few words about your location and/or genealogical interests. This will help us assign you to a team. If you already know what team you'd like to be on, say that. The current teams are listed here.

Just curious. Did we actually start at 7:00 a.m. Eastern rather than 8:00? Still a quarter till 8:00 and there are already almost 1,450 points on the scoreboard.

Sign me up. I am in Texas with ancestors across the country, some going back to the Revolutionary War and before. Others going to Germany, Holland, England, France, and Ireland....maybe more and that is just my mother's line. My Bio dad's line is from Hungary and Yugoslavia and mostly a brick wall as some only came here 3 generations before me and it is only through DNA that I know any thing about this line.

I am working on my husbands and my genealogy. My husbands tree is filling out very nicely. I live in Texas. My family is from Louisiana. My fathers side which is french and catholic is well done. I believe is completed and well done. I can not find my mothers family. She is from Sabine Parish Louisiana.

Any idea which team you'd like to work with?  You seem to have Aussie and Kiwi folk, before getting to England.  There's an Australian team, a New Zealand team, an England team - and a couple of generic teams.   

Any of us would be happy to have you join, and you are not restricted to only profiles for the place of the team.  (You could be on the Kiwi team and work exclusively on Scandinavian profiles, or European ones.  Teams are for the comradeship of the event, more than restriction to a locale.)
