This badge may be the toughest one to acquire. It isn't automatic and I know they check what you have contributed up until now, especially on profiles you have created. Your managed profiles need to be sourced and any suggestions addressed, you need to have made significant contributions to a pre-1700 or PPP profile, and made significant contributions to one or more projects. It takes time to check all of that. Hope they have an answer for you soon. Best of luck!
While you are waiting to hear from them you can be proactive in working towards your certification by clearing your suggestion list.
Thank you

Hi Matthew,

I should be able to get back with you today, for you an others, the key from the help page https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Pre-1500_Profiles  is

As part of the certification process you will be asked to identify a pre-1700 or Project Protected Profile where you have made significant contributions as a practical demonstration of your knowledge of sources and WikiTree style. You will also be asked to provide information on your project participation and the name of a Project Leader who can confirm your participation as an advanced wiki genealogist.

How do you define a "significant contribution"?
A significant contribution is the discovery of original documentation or well written "evidence explained" for several events in the person's life and the updating of the biography to WikiTree Styles and Standards.

Looking at the examples given on the Help page will show you the kind of work we are looking for as proof of your abilities.
