Hi,
My ancestor George "The Immigrant" Truitt landed in Virginia in about 1640. He was a Quaker and donated land for, what is believed to be, the first Quaker Meeting House in Virginia. George is buried in Accomack, Virginia but most of his family moved to Somerset County, Maryland around 1720. Much of Somerset County is now Worcester County, Maryland and the family graves are in Parsons Cemetery in Salisbury, Maryland. I recently retired to Worcester County, Maryland and find myself living in the midst of my family's early history.
