As pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects coordinating them is essential. Please ensure location data matches dates of profile, avoid abbreviations, add sources with citations & URL links for sources to support the data. From wiki ID go to Research to find sources
The England Project may be of interest. Adding the tag England will provide updates about the project.

Wish you a Happy New Year. May 2018 bring you all you need to be happy.
Congratulation for adding your contributions in December. Whatever the quantity of your contributions, they all count. As I always say "Quality is better than quantity" to make a great family tree.
Thank you for being a Wikitreer,
Guy Constantineau - Wikitree leader
I see that you had a merge in your recent past and if you notice, the Biography & Sources are duplicated. Once a merge is completed, that is part of the process in that all that information is saved and it is up to us to edit out the duplicate information. Let me know if you need help with that.
Thanks, Cindy
This week we have your last stop on the guided tour. Hopefully, you're feeling like a WikiTree pro! If not, you can always revisit the tour stops via the comment boxes on the right side of your profile.
You've covered a lot of ground the past few weeks. Today, we want to give you just a few more tools that can take you even deeper into the WikiTree forest without getting lost: How to Dig a Little Deeper.
Please do not hesitate to ask questions! If the above link does not work from your email, please go to your profile in the public comments and it will work from there.
Thanks, WikiMesssenger Cindy
There's a fast and easy way to access your WikiTree profiles using the Watchlist. So, this week we're going to look at How to Manage Your Watchlist.

You've been here for three weeks now! We hope your profiles are starting to come together and that you've enjoyed getting to know all of us a little better. You're probably getting a good feel for the collaborative nature of WikiTree by now. We know that collaboration isn't always easy. So, we've put together a few pointers that can make working in this type of environment a little easier: How to be a Successful WikiTreer. As always, your questions are welcome!

It's time for your next stop on the guided tour!
This week, we'd like to show you How to Join in the Community. There's no shortage of opportunities to get involved through social media, our forum, and projects.
Be sure to check out the One Name Studies Project to see if anyone has started a project for one of the surnames in your family. Don't see one? Follow the instructions for starting your own!
Please let us know if you have questions! Just click my name above the comment, then ask in the comment section of my page. We want to help!

I see you merged your profiles into one profile. Please review our Matching and Merging FAQ to understand your responsibilities in doing merges.
During a merge, the text from the merged-away profile is appended to the end of the text of the merged-into profile. After a merge, you will need to clean up the text by removing duplicate information and consolidating what is left leaving the profile with a single Biography section and a single Sources section.
The Help page on Biographies has a lot of great information on what to include and what to omit in a Biography.
Please also review all other family members for potential duplicates and review any conflicts in parents.
If you have any questions, just let me know.
David ~ Wiki Mentor
Thank you for the note and question(s)!

I'd encourage you to do a small one for now to get going and then wait until we switch over to our new import process. It'll be a lot easier for you to move your GEDCOM then.
If you have a problem and need help you can contact the Wiki GEDCOM manager Eowyn Langholf.
