DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships.
It is likely that these
autosomal DNA
test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with George:
Abbott-5733 and Abbott-102 appear to represent the same person because: It's clear from the data in the text section of Abbott-5733 that this is the same person as Abbott-102.
Note: I have requested project-protection for Abbott-102.
George Abbott (Abbott-5733) and George Abbott (Abbott-102) have been set as a rejected match, but I believe they do represent the same person. Their death dates are identical, and they both have a son named William born on 18 Nov 1657 in Andover, Essex, MA. The death date and place for these two William are also identical and they will need to be merged as well.

Abbott-5810 and Abbott-5733 appear to represent the same person because: I put this on hold and when I removed the hold it canceled the merge. Now I have set the merge up again. I am curious what info will be in the merged record but can't find where to see it before confirming the merge.
The children's last names at birth should not be determined by how they were recorded by various town clerks. George himself signed his surname "Abbott" in his 1681 will, and so did his son, Timothy, on the same document. See image on AmericanAncestors.org
Wondering if this profile could be project protected to avoid future merge issues?? I am not well sure how to do this? Maybe the CT profile can also be protected once info is set.
Abbott-1715 and Abbott-102 do not represent the same person because: One is MA and other is CT - these are different families but same name. Additional edits need to be made before this profile can be merged. See notes on George Abbott as there has been LOTS of confusion and merges that are messy.
