Biography

He was born on 06 January 1658 in Moeze, Saintonge, France and his parents were Elizabeth Marie (Dubois, 1643–1693) and Jean Mersereau (1638–1681).

Joshua Mersereau or Mercereau married on 16 July 1693 in New York City, New York to Marie Chedaine or Chadaine or Chadeayne [1] (1676–1774).

He died on 23 May 1756 and was buried at the French Huguenot Church Cemetery in Richmond County, Staten Island, New York [2]
