Biography

Francois was born around 1698 in Beaubassin. He was the son of Michel Poirier and Marie Chiasson. [1][2]

Francois married Marguerite Doucet (born in Saint Charles des Mines, Grand Pré, Acadie, Nouvelle-France; daughter of Louis Doucet and Marguerite Girouard) around 1726 in Acadie. [2]

  3. Abraham Poirier (1730–after 1758) .
  4. Madeleine Poirier (about 1737–1757)

  6. Jean Poirier (about 1740–1817)
  7. Unknown Poirier b. ca 1752 census

He died before the 1752 census. [2] Marguerite was listed as a widow with 5 children in that census. [4] [5]

François Poirier was listed as deceased on the burial record of his daughter Madeleine Poirier 12 Nov 1757.
