Biography

Joseph Marie Maitrejean, son of Antoine Maitrejean (1751–1789) and Marie Duhon (1760–1826), was born on June 13, 1778 in Locmaria, one of the villages of Belle-Isle-en-Mer, France.[1]

Joseph (24) married Marguerite Trahan (22) (born on January 12, 1780 in Bretagne; daughter of Jean Chrysostome Trahan and Anne Granger) on August 8, 1802 in Plattenville, Louisiana. [2]

  1. Auguste Maitrejean (1803–1851)
  2. Margarite Aurore Maitrejean (1805–~1878)

Joseph died on March 21, 1859 in New Orleans, Orleans, Louisiana, United States, aged 80.[citation needed] This Maitrejean's First Name, is Louis, aged 78, according to this List. [3]
