Biography

A native of Alabama, Pam grew up in Huntsville, AL during the Cold War, the race for space and the worlds greatest technological revolution. So, naturally her interests always leaned towards the Arts and Sciences. She began her career working with her mother at the Redstone Rocket Newspaper and began pursuing teaching her first passion: dance and gymnastics.

She taught dance all the while in pursuit of a Dance Degree from the University of Memphis (Then Memphis State University), owned and ran her own school “Dance Elite Performing Arts” in Huntsville, AL then worked with many wonderful teachers and dancers/singers and eventually finished her undergraduate degree in Orlando at the University of Central Florida in Anthropology. Don’t Ask.

Her favorite Job was working at Sea World Orlando Education Department while she pursued a Graduate Degree in Science Education where she expanded her base knowledge of biology, Anthropology, Geology, Space Science and subsequently decided to teach in a public school setting.

After an exhausting couple of decades in Education, raising 2 children and moving back to Alabama from Orlando, Pam divorced and started over in her hometown of Huntsville. There she ran into a high school buddy (a NASA engineer as was his father) and they married to begin a “happily ever after”.

Now retired and living in Athens, AL Pam enjoys her Grand children, dogs, and getting to know her amazing and fascinating ancestors a little better. Although the Earth was not shared at the same time, Pam believes that the love and nurturing of each family member should be preserved, revered and respected. Love is all you need! Hi Pamela,

I have a James Robinson in my group that could possibly match yours. The birthdate and place look petty good. Can you shed any more light on yours?

Hi Pamela,

How is it going so far. Was the first page of the How-Tos helpful or did it leave you with questions?

We want to help! Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

Hi Pam

Here I am again. Before leaving your page I glanced again at your tags.

I also suggest a US Civil War Between the States. This is part of the umbrella Military and War Project which covers many wars.. Leader for this project is also Paula J. Tag for this is <US_Civil_War>!!

Thanks again.

Hi Pamela--

Thank you for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Participation in a project is advised for those working with Pre-1700 profiles.

It looks like US Southern Colonies Project, fits your tags. (leader is Paula J) This has a subproject called Virginia (pre-1776) . Also here is Virginia Colony Jamestown, Virginia Colony (I am the project coordinator). This is a sub project of US Southern Colonies and only for early immigrants.

Join a project, then add project tag to receive project activity updates.

Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)

Hi Pamela,

A warm welcome to WikiTree. Hope you enjoy WikiTree as much as I have. You never know when you will find a lost family member or ancestor. Or maybe find a hidden family secret about an ancestor. Genealogy to me is like being a detective looking for clues into the past.

You are now a full member and can add your family to the big tree!

Start with our New Member How-To pages. They will save you time, energy and frustration as you add your family profiles.

Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile as the links will work from there.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I'm always happy to help!

Welcome to WikiTree! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site you’ve ever used.

WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!

What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? When you confirm your email address, you’ll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests.

Once you volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and you’ll be on your way!

Welcome to the family! We’re really glad you’re here.
