See you there! Dorothy
I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great! Also noticed you made 430 contributions to Wikitree, thank you! Here at WikiTree we like to have our members involved with others; collaboration is key!
By your one tag I thought you might be interested in our Wales project. Check it out here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Wales . Here is a list of our other WikiTree projects you might like to check out: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Projects
Why don't you also stop by the One Name Studies project, to see if there's already a name study for (surname) going on? The current leaders for that are Doug Lockwood and Alison Andrus.
Dorothy, Volunteer Coordinator.
Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.
Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.
If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.
Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Have fun getting to know your ancestors, and ask for help if you need it! WikiTree members love to help fellow genealogists. :-)
You are now a confirmed member of WikiTree! Thank you for volunteering.
You can also join the conversation about the Question of the Week: What challenges have you had finding birth/marriage/death records and what helped you find them?
If you need some one-on-one help, dont hesitate to contact our Mentors Project. Our volunteer mentors will be glad to help you learn how to use Wikitree.
See you in the branches --Rod
Welcome to WikiTree! The email you just got from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site youve ever used.
WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!
When you confirm your email address, youll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests -- fill in at least one of your Tags with the names, locations or historical events you're researching and click the "Save Tag(s) and Volunteer" button. One of our Greeters will come along and confirm your membership, and youll be on your way!
Welcome to the family! Were really glad youre here.
Rod
