Nancy (Cox) Wilson is a member of the Appalachia Project (Northern Appalachia Team).

Born in Passaic, New Jersey in 1956. She is the daughter of Leslie Record Cox Jr (1930-2011) and Lois Dorothy (Field) Cox (1930-2010). Her Parents lived in Rutherford, New Jersey. At age 3 they moved to Emporium Pennsylvnia where her sister was born and her grandmotherFlora Belle (Tipton) Cox (1895-1961), died. Moved back to Montville, Morris County, New Jersey at age 6 in 1962. She lived in Towaco New jersey until age 13, then to Pompton Plains, New jersey.After graduating from Pequannock Township High School in 1974, Nancy married Tim Wilson in Kinnelon,New Jersey. She had 2 daughters and spent her early adulthood was in Highland Lakes, Vernon, Sussex, New Jersey. She moved to Holland Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey in 1988. She was a stay at home Mom until 1984, when she started working in the eyecare industry. Worked in eyecare until 2007, when she stopped working due to disability of Multiple Sclerosis. Nancy is active in local organizations and church.

She is Roman Catholic by marriage. Her parents were Protestant, First Reformed Church when they passed away. Before that, Presbyterian, Baptists and Methodist.
