I must give credit to my mother, Vera Marie Cobb Beisiegel, for a tremendous portion of the information on the Beisiegel and Carrington families. She was greatly interested in genealogy and worked diligently to gather and preserve as much information as she could. Not only was she interested in her own Cobb and Hamilton family but worked diligently on my Dad's side of the family. She is responsible for caring for the family Bibles of the Beisiegel, Carrington, and Russell families which I now have and have taken much of the information I have included here in Wiki. I am trying to do justice to all that she gathered and will be forever grateful for her great work.

Hi Russ,

Thanks for having a big heart and adopting the Orphaned Profiles. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention adopted profiles will sometimes need.

Let me know if you have any questions on how to find and record sources, merge duplicates, clean up GEDCOM biographies, and interpret the Suggestions report. I'm here to help!

Debi

PS If you have any GEDCOM cleanup to do, there is a new tool that can help. You can read more about it in the WikiTree AGC FAQ.

Hi Debi. I am struggling badly trying to figure out how to do the right thing and add sources. A vdeo actually showing the steps would be great! Or for that manner any clear explanation would be welcomed. Thank you.

Hi Russ,

One of the Mentor's created a YouTube video that shows how to some sourcing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8yyS_46URc Maybe that will help. If you have any questions about what you see, please be sure to let me know.

PS Click the green tags near the top of your profile and see others following the same topics you are researching. The more of these clickable tags you add (20 max.) that include surnames, locations, periods of history or other genealogical interests, the more connections you will make and maybe find a few cousins! To edit or add more tags, click on the word “following” or use this link. This page will help you learn more about tags. Note: You will find that tags work best when they are single surnames, locations, etc.
