Hello Danielle, my name is Sally Stovall and I would like to Mentor you and answer any questions you may have with the Stovall Family or WikiTree site. I have added you to Green Stovall and you can edit any way necessary. Thank you for joining WikiTree and Happy Researching.
You are now a member of the WikiTree Community! Please remember that we are trying to build one Collaborative Global Family Tree which means only one profile per person. It is important to ensure that no duplicates are created and profiles are properly sourced.
To help you get started, we have an introductory WikiTree video.
I am researching my mother's line. My primary surnames are Wilson, Walls, Fowler, Kitchen, Woods, Stults, Stovall, Billips, Ford, all of the recent ones are from the Southern United States and mainly have ancestors descended from 1600-1700 Virginia. I am looking to help others with recent lines that I am sure about and to receive help on the further back lines that I need more proof on. If my tree is correct, I descend from Bartholomew W Stovall, an indentured servant to the United States. I also descend from many fighters in the American Revolution, War of 1812, and Civil War. I have a Geni page where I have put most of my sources, unfortunately they did not cross over to my GEDCOm file, but am willing to contribute them.
Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.
Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.
If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.
Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.
