Hi Joan

Thanks ..yes I did receive 2 emails ( on my phone) ..but I couldn't find the same message in google docs ( on my PC). I did have a quick look on the wikitree website to see if I could manually find the links, but I couldn't find them. The Sandbox ? Unfortunately its been a busy week, so not had a lot of time. I can probably only spend a couple of hours a week, I wonder if that is too little ?. Cheers Bill

I am going to send you everything re the OT again. Let me know if you do not receive it. I will keep a watch on you profile, so that you can put a message here.

Regards Joan.

Hi Jonathan,

This is a courtesy e-mail to see how things are going. Are you enjoying WikiTree so far?

One of our mentors created a tutorial for the GEDCOMpare process. You may have already discovered all the tricks but I thought I would share it, as I found very helpful.

Have the tips in the New Member How-Tos been helpful? Most of us still have some questions after reviewing them.

I'm here to answer those questions or help with issues about how WikiTree works. You can reply to this comment or send me a private message.

PS If you get a "Page Not Found" error when clicking WikiTree email links, you can often find a working version in the public comments on your profile.

Hi Jonathan

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz. As Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within a project is essential

Please ensure locations are entered on all profiles and data matches dates of profile. Avoid abbreviations, add sources with citations & links for sources to support the data. From wiki ID go to Research to find sources.  Sources & England Reliable Sources

Thanks for adding the tag  ENGLAND this will provide updates about the project. Also explore County Teams look for Lincolnshire other pages to explore is England Pages

Explore Pre-1700 Projects list to find one to fits your research focus,

Hi Janet

Thanks ..just appreciating how much procedure I have to learn. I have adopted a couple of orphans , as they were easy as brothers and sisters of my 5th great grandfather. I will be following the orphan trail soon, time permitting. I think I have joined the correct groups,England and Lincolnshire. I have ATM only added one pre 1700 ancestor , which I think we already knew a bit about, and added the Huguenot tag (hopefully correctly) I have another 100 odd ( which don't appear to have matches on Wikitree) but will wait until I'm more confident on the procedures required. Cheers Billy

Welcome Jonathan!

Thanks for volunteering! I am pleased to confirm and welcome you to the WikiTree family, your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together.

I would suggest starting with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration. Don't be afraid to ask questions in our G2G forum and get involved as much or as little as works for you. Be sure to check out the tabs at the very top right hand side of your profile, there is lots to discover!

I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site as much as I do!

Happy tree climbing

Rhonda ~ WikiTree Greeter

P.S. If links do not work in an email from WikiTree, try them from the comment section on your profile page.
