Hello George, I point to your attention that on the excerpt we can see, at the upper left of it we can read "Canada" but I cannot see "Nouvelle-France". I have studied a lot on the origin of the word Canada. Canada was the actual name used by the people referring to the Land of the St.Lawrence valley. New-France was a more rarely used word. It refers to a grander territory comprising Acadia and Louisiane. Around the same time as the Recensement people living in Canada started to identify themselves as "canadiens" or "canadois". Consequently, in the Treaty of Paris (1763) it is only referred to "Canada", New-France is not mentioned. Regards, PL, Montréal

George, I have discovered a conflation for two Francois Blanchards who married two different women. This Francois's parents aren't known so I removed them. Please let me know if you have any questions--I am continuing to research today. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Blanchard-474

Hi George,

It has been a couple of weeks since we contacted you about your participation in the Southern Colonies Project. As we haven't heard from you, we are following up to make sure you wish to remain a member.

We understand that interests shift as we grow our shared tree and that some members may have moved on to projects more pertinent to their ancestors. If this is the case for you, please let us know.

If we do not hear back from you within the week, we will assume you have moved on to other things for the moment and remove you from the project. Please know that you will always be welcome to rejoin should your interests shift back in this direction.

Thank you so much for your participation; we genuinely appreciate it.

Hello George,

On behalf of the Acadia Project Leaders, we are doing a six-month check-in with members. Please let us know if you are still active. Please let me know if you are still active, and if so, in which ways you have contributed to the project, or a sub-project, within the last two months.

All of us at WikiTree would like to thank you for your contributions and hope that you are enjoying exploring your roots.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

RE: Project Coordinator badge holder inquiry

I'm currently not active on the WikiTree beyond stewardship of managed profiles. If life activities permit, I'll be returning. In the meantime, I do understand and expect all my prior endeavors on the Tree may be revised and expanded by others, and therefore my coordinator status ought to be reassigned to someone currently available and willing.

My best wishes to you and Eowyn. Shalom aleichem, George

Hi George,

I’m working with Eowyn to check-in with everyone holding the Project Coordinator badge to make sure we have the most up-to-date information. As a Project Coordinator badge holder, please can you let me know which project(s) you are currently coordinating and if you have a specific role as coordinator in those projects?

Many thanks,

Susie

Hi George,

Greg Lavoie, Dave Rutherford and I have put a lot of work into restructuring the Canada Project. Have a look at the new project page.

You'll see that we've changed the project name to the Canada Project and the badge will be changed shortly. We've done this in order to provide lots of ways for people to contribute to Canadian Profiles. We've also moved towards a team approach with top level teams being lead by Project Coordinators and sub-teams being lead by Team Leaders.

Would you like to continue in the Canada Project, and if so, which team(s) would you like to be on?

Let me know if you have any questions. Once I hear back from you I'll add you to the Google group and get you set up in your team(s).

Susie

Hello George,

I’m Natalie, leader of the Categorization Project. Please have a look at the revamped Categorization Project page, specifically about the new team approach. Members will be now be part of the Maintenance Team. Project Liaisons and leaders will be involved in the Vision and Collaboration team. Please contact me within the next week to let me know if you would like to remain an active member of the project. If I don’t hear back from you I will assume you no longer want to be a part of the Categorization Project. Thanks, Natalie
