There are so many William Hodge(s) in Virginia in the 1700 and 1800s, it's hard to try to match up who belongs with who. I rely a lot on legal records and wills to help sort, but it's still very confusing.

Biography

William was born about 1747 in Virginia. He passed away about 1817 in Franklin County Virginia. This William was possibly married three times. William married Mildred (Milly) Keene abt 1773. Milly died in 1805. He then married Elizabeth Woodson Mimms, the widow of Robert Poor (who also went by Milly) in 1806.

William and his wives had William, Squire, Reuben, Lewis, Chloe, Judith, Lucy, Susannah, John "HighTop" and Amelia (Milly).
