In 1686, at Chiqnitou dit Beaubassin, Pierre, aged 3, was living with his parents, Pierre MORIN, the son, aged 24, and Jeanne LAVALLEE (sic), aged 18. The family owned 2 guns and was living on 8 arpents of cultivable land with 14 cattle, 6 sheep, and 8 hogs. Nearby were his grandparents Pierre Morin and Marie Martin.[3]
In 1700, Pierre was working as a fisherman according to the census taken that year at Mont Louis. [4]
He died suddenly on Jubilee Sunday 4 Feb 1767 holding a book of plain-song in his hand. He was buried on 5 Feb 1767 in the cemetery of Saint-Pierre-de-la-Riviere-du-Sud, Province de Québec.[6] On 25 Nov 1795, the body of Pierre Morin, the husband of Marie Boulet, was exhumed and moved to the new church of the parish, to the left of the altar, at Saint-Pierre-de-la-Riviere-du-Sud, Bas-Canada.[7]

Recensement de 1700 Pierre Morin habitait à Mont-Louis. C'était un pêcheur.[4]
Mariage Le 10 janvier 1707, à Saint-Thomas-de-la-Pointe-à-la-Caille, (Montmagny), Canada, Nouvelle-France, Pierre Morin âgé de 23 ans épouse Marie Boulé âgée d'environ 20 ans, fille de Jacques (Boulay) Boulé et Françoise Fournier. Ils eurent 11 enfants.[5]

Décès Le 4 février 1767, âgé de 83 ans, Pierre Morin décède et est inhumé le 5 février 1767 dans le cimetière de Saint-Pierre-de-la-Riviere-du-Sud, Montmagny, Province de Québec.[6]
Exhumation et nouvelle sépulture Le 25 novembre 1795, le corps de Pierre Morin, époux de Marie Boulet, est exhumé et transporté à la nouvelle église de la paroisse du côté de l’Évangile de Saint-Pierre-de-la-Riviere-du-Sud, Bas-Canada.[7]

In the original 1686 census at Chiqnitou dit Beaubassin, Jean Marie was written as just Jean and Marie Madeleine Martin was written as just Marie Martin.[9]
