Biography

U.S. Southern Colonies Project logo
Mary (Parsons) Price was a Maryland colonist.

The birth of Mary Parsons is not recorded. Her birth year is estimated based on the earliest possible year of marriage for her mother who could not have married Thomas Parsons before the death of his first wife by 1675. Mary was the daughter of Thomas and Isabell Parsons. Mary is mentioned third in her father's will to receive the plantation where he lived and all things belonging thereto to share with her sister, Susanna. I give to them to be equally divided after their mother's decease and if they die without heirs to my youngest daughters.[1]

Family

Evidence gleaned from the will of Mary Price reveals that she was the mother of five sons and seven daughters. Since Mary was born after 1675 and most girls were at least 16 when they married, these children were born between 1693-1718:

John
Thomas
Rachel
Hannah
Benjamin
Stephen m. Constant --?--
Mordecai
Leah m. Thomas Ford
Elizabeth m. Thomas Carr
Mary
Sarah m. Thomas Taylor
