Charles was counted in the 1724 census at Port-Toulouse with a wife and 1 daughter.[3] His occupation was navigator, and he was born in Acadia. By the 1726 census, the couple had one girl and one boy.[4][5]
He died 3 May 1743, and was buried the next day, in Louisbourg, Acadia.[6][7] The age given on his burial record was about 50 years.
