Biography

Anne Marie Robichaud veuve Hebert [sic Lebert] is on the Wall of Names at the Acadian Memorial in St. Martinville, Louisiana Plaque 7-Left, La Bergere. Listed with her is her son Pierre Joseph Lebert. [1]

Anne Marie was born about 1727. [2]

In 1758 she and Charles Lebert and their four children were deported to St.-Malo, France. Their two youngest children died during the voyage and the third died five months after arrival. [3]

15 August 1785 : Immigration - New Orleans, Orleans, LA.[4]

Widow HÉBERT [sic LEBERT]; on the embarkation list and Anne Marie ROBICHAU on the Spanish debarkation list], age 57, traveled to LA with Pierre Joseph HÉBERT [sic], age 17, a day laborer, as the 35th family (of 2 persons) aboard "Le Bergère." The French embarkation record says he is her son. She received 1 each of axe, hatchet, shovel, meat cleaver, and two hoes. [One daughter had come to LA with her family on an earlier ship, another daughter and family were aboard this ship.]

She was buried on 6 September 1786 in St. Gabriel, Iberville, LA, less than a year after her arrival. [5]

    Anne-Marie ROBICHAUX, born about 1728, married about 1745 to Charles LEBERT; nine children listed. She and husband and two daughters disembarked at St. Malo on 23 Jan 1759 from one of the "Five ships." They resided in Plouer from 1759-1772.
