Biography

Melville married Mary Westfall on 21 Sep 1854 in Gilmer County. [1] At the date of marriage Melville was 20 and Mary was 15. Both were born in Lewis County, Virginia. Joseph Smith performed the marriage.

Rachel married Melville Stump on 11 January 1866 in Calhoun, West Virginia.[2]

Melville, Rachel, and two adult sons were enumerated in the 1880 census of Gilmer, West Virginia.[3]
