Margaret was the daughter of Robert White and Margaret Gainsford and wife of John Kirton, Esq.^[1][2][3][4]

She married John Kirton, Esq., Burgess of Southwark, Justice of the Peace for Surrey & Middlesex, son of William Kirton, Esq. and Margery Milbourne, circa 1495; They had 2 sons (William; & Stephen) and 3 daughters (Margaret, wife of Jasper Leeke; Elizabeth, wife of (Mr.) Wyburne; & Agnes, wife of (Mr.) Pleasance, & of John Mountney).
