Mary ~ Team Leader
I would be interested in working on the Province of South Carolina team, as my Huguenot ancestors came into Charleston in the 1600s. Thank you for all you do.
Kind regards, Kathy
Thanks for having a big heart and adopting the Orphaned Profiles. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention adopted profiles will sometimes need.
Let me know if you have any questions on how to find and record sources, merge duplicates, clean up gedcom biographies, and interpret the Suggestions report. I'm here to help!

As you have been a member of WikiTree for a few weeks now, I thought I would check in to see how you are getting on with the site.
Has the New Member How-To been helpful, or left you with any questions?
These pages may help you with Sources and Adding Sources on WikiTree. The RootSearch tool on every profile is very helpful, you will login with the same login as your WikiTree login.
I am here to help with any problems or queries you may have. To contact me, be sure to use the "reply" link below this comment so that I will be notified. Alternatively, you can click my name to visit my profile, where you can send a private message, or post a comment on my profile page.

PS Have you noticed that you can click on Tags to see others interested in that surname, or location?
Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!
Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.
Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus. Review the project pages for special guidelines and to learn how to collaborate with the project members.
Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.
Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles you manage, or edit. (See:https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Pre-1700_Profiles#Cite_reliable_sources).

I see that you have had your DNA tested, congratulations! Getting Started with DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.
DNA at WikiTree provides a visual way for you to find others who have tested and have the potential of having common ancestors. To get the best results, you need to start with yourself and add sourced profiles for your ancestors until you can connect to existing profiles in WikiTree. 24 hours later, your test will have populated on the profiles of your ancestors and their descendants, where others with potential matches may also appear.
If you have any questions about how WikiTree works, use the reply link to let me know. Have fun!

I am pleased to welcome you to the WikiTree family, your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together.
I would suggest starting with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration. Don't be afraid to ask questions in our G2G forum and get involved as much or as little as works for you. Be sure to check out the tabs at the very top right hand side of your profile, there is lots to discover!
I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site as much as I do!
Happy tree climbing
Rhonda ~ WikiTree Greeter
