Also, we would really like to hear which team is currently your highest priority. If you are a member of more than one team, could you please rank them from highest priority to lowest? Thank you! If you don’t see yourself as being part of a team, please let us know.

We also welcome any feedback on things you would like to see the project do more of in the future.

I look forward to hearing from you. Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message.

Kind regards,

Elizabeth, England Project Leader

Sorry it took me so long to reply I've been quite busy over the last few days and it completely slipped my mind.

My highest priority is probably Yorkshire as that is where most of my ancestors are and after that my priorities are Gloucestershire and then Lancashire.

I would also be tempted to join the Devon team in a local research role since that's where I live and I have easy access the local archives in Plymouth if that would be useful

Thanks Sam! I'll put your name forward to the Devon team. :-)

Hi Sam,

I would like to thank you for all your contributions towards the goals of the England Project during the past six months. We've achieved a huge amount during this period and we couldn't have done it without you and our other project members.

As the England Project Leaders, we are completing our six monthly check-in with all project members.

Are you happy to stay in your current project teams? Which teams are you most active in? Are there other teams you would like to join or become more active in?

Also, do you have any feedback on what the project is doing well and anything we could do better in the future?

Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hello

I'm happy with the teams I'm currently in but I would like to join the Lincolnshire team if that would be possible. I don't have any feedback at the moment because I think the teams are doing quite well.

Hi Sam,

Thanks for your reply! I'll put down that you'd like to join Lincolnshire and make sure to let our Counties Project Coordinators know when I send them through the Counties-related feedback :)

Regards, Amelia

Hi Sam,

It's that time of the year again: check-in time! As England Project Leaders, we like to check in with you every six months or so to see how things are progressing. Back in May, we didn't ask for a response due to the rapid emergence of Covid-19 because we understood that people's lives were changing rapidly. While we are still living in a Covid world, we do need to hear back from you this time around

First of all, how are you doing? What are you currently working on? Are you happy with the team(s) you're in, or would you like to change things up?

Secondly, we're looking for some feedback on the Google Group and our Discord server. Do you use either or both of these? If you don't use either, why not? Do you have any suggestions on how we can improve participation and collaboration, either generally or for you personally?

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Lizzie, Amy, Joan

England Project Leaders

Hi

I'm doing good. The teams I'm in at the moment are fine I use the only the google group occasionally so I don't think I could give very good feedback on it and I was unaware there was a Discord server but now I know I'll definitely join it. I've sadly not been as active as I would like in the past couple weeks because of some real life problems but I'm sure I'm back in full force soon.

Hi Sam,

Your England Leaders are completing the six monthly check in with all team members. I wanted to thank you for your work on English Profiles and particularly your work in the Yorkshire, Lancashire and Gloucester Teams.

These are unprecedented and difficult times, and we understand as Project Leaders that your situation may have changed somewhat in the last few months. What we are all able to/ wish to contribute on Wikitree has changed. Please let me know if you are happy with your current role and team choice or if you wish to do something additional or different. Thank you again on behalf of all the project leaders for everything you do.

Welcome to Clan Sutherland on Wikitree. Our aim is to create excellent profiles honouring the history and tradition of our ancient family. If you have any questions or wish any advice either send me a private message or email me.
Hi Sam

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz. As Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within a project is essential

Please ensure locations are entered on all profiles and data matches dates of profile. Avoid abbreviations, add sources with citations & links for sources to support the data. From wiki ID go to Research to find sources

Thanks for joining a project, great to see your enthusiasm. Explore Pre-1700 Projects list to find links to your research focus, whether time period, location or topic  For help with tags, click  editing your tags Add the ENGLAND tag to get the latest project updates Also suggest you check out the county category pages here https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:England I corrected the spelling for Glocestershire on https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Gardner-14463 today as mispelt in birth and marriage locations, I also add county flag and birth location category. Each County has a team page / links for research. Please remember that Ancestry is a locked site you need to purchase membership to view sources, try to add full information and back up with free site links as well if possible.

Hi Sam,

This is a courtesy e-mail to see how things are going. Are you enjoying WikiTree so far?

I see that you uploaded a GEDCOM. Do you have questions about the GEDCOMpare process?

Have the tips in the New Member How-Tos been helpful? Most of us still have some questions after reviewing them.

I'm here to help with issues and questions about how WikiTree works. Click my name to send me a private message or ask in the comment section of my page.

PS If you get a "Page Not Found" error when clicking WikiTree email links, you can often find a working version in the public comments on your profile.

Hello Sam

Glad to see another Britton researcher on the site! I am managing a name study here on Wikitree for the Britton surname. My particular interest is for those originally from Fermanagh, Ireland.

Here’s the name study page - Brittton Name Study Category Page. As you add ancestors to Wikitree please add the relevant category so they appear on these pages too!

If you have DNA tested and your Britton ancestors came from Ireland we would love you to join us at FTDNA in our ‘Brittons of Ireland’ project. Even if you have tested at another DNA site, its free to transfer your data to FTDNA! I hope you join us! Brittons of Ireland - DNA project support page

Welcome

I am pleased to confirm you as a full member, and welcome you to the WikiTree family, your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together.

I would suggest starting with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration.

I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site

Happy tree climbing, Barbara
