We ended the Magna Carta Project affiliate scheme some time ago, which means a sticker on your profile should be deleted. It has an error indication on it. Thank you for having expressed interest in the Project. Michael Cayley, co-Leader, Magna Carta Project

If you want to upddate your tartan/clan sticker the sticker should read:

User Scottish Clan|tartan = Scotland_-_Clan_Tartans-9.jpg|clan = Clan Bell And surrounded by double brackets.

Hi LaNita,

We haven’t heard back from you concerning the Scottish Clans Transition. If we haven’t received a response from you by 1 April 2020, you will be welcome to rejoin by answering the current g2g thread for joining the Scotland Project.

Best Regards,

Hello LaNita,

My name is Sarah and I’m the Project Coordinator for the Scotland Project. As you may have heard, we have merged the Scottish Clans project into the Scotland Project. I am contacting you today to find out if you are interested in continuing with us under this new format. If you would like to go forward on the Scottish Clans Team, please reply and let me know which clans you have been working on or would like to work on. I see you have previously expressed an interest in Clan Bell, would you like me to add you to that team? I look forward to hearing from you.

Best Regards,

Sarah Mason, Scotland PC

Hi LaNita,

I haven’t heard back from you about the break up of the United Kingdom Project. I hope all is well with you. I assume you don’t wish to join any of the country-level projects at present, and will go ahead and remove the United Kingdom badge. If you wish to join England, Scotland, Wales or Ireland in the future, you would be most welcome to do so via the respective G2G sign-up post.

Many thanks for all your contributions,

Susie :-)

Hi LaNita,

We realise the time has come to dissolve the UK Project in favour of the individual country projects of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

We are checking in with all UK badge holders to find out which country project(s) you would like to be in so you can collaborate with other members, have the opportunity to select which team(s) you would like to join, and so we can ensure you have all the correct badges.

Please respond by PM to let us know which country project(s) you would like to be in. Please don’t assume we know. We are effectively starting from scratch to make sure no one falls through the cracks.

Once you have done this, the Coordinator for Membership in the relevant country project(s) will be in touch to help get you situated.

Many thanks,

Susie

Hi LaNita and thanks for your post on G2G.

I've added the UK Project badge to your profile and your name to it's and the Scotland Project members interests pages. Same with the Scottish Clans Project.

Can I ask you to delete the Scottish Clans Project templates from your profile. It's only for profiles managed by the Project. If you change png to gif in the sticker and delete Bell of the border tartan - then the Bell tartan should appear.

Thanks,

Maria

Hi LaNita! I don't remember things very well, so not seeing a post from me...

The membership options are Affiliate & badged. The Magna Carta Google Group is open to both. To become an affiliate member, just add the sticker to your profile. Badged members have participation requirements, the first of which is to choose a Gateway Ancestor to be Guardian of (that's a requirement for becoming a badged member).

See our G2G join post for details:

Cheers, Liz

P.S. Here's the coding for the sticker - from the e-mail you receive of this post, copy/paste the second version into your profile (it has the 2nd } at the end: {{Member|Magna Carta Affiliate}

Hi LaNita

Thanks for your interest in Magna Carta history and genealogy. I see that Liz has been in contact and has explained the project membership options. Just let us know if you have any additional questions.

Hi LaNita,

Thank you for your contributions to our tree.

The Washburn profiles that you have just entered on our tree represent people who already have profiles on WikiTree. They will need to be merged with the profiles that are already here, as per our policy of one profile per person. I will set up the merges. Please approve them from your end. And in adding any future profiles, please remember to check if that person is already on WikiTree!

Also, I see that you are using "Ancestry.com" as your source. This is not considered an adequate source, particularly for pre-1700 profiles. Please take a look at our help page for sources at https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Sources

Thanks!

Hi LaNita

As you have been a member of WikiTree for a few weeks now I thought I would check in to see how you are getting on with the site.

Has the New Member How-To  been helpful or left you with any questions?

I am here to help with any problems or queries you may have. Just click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page or send me a private message.

Sometimes links don't work in emails.  If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.

Hi LaNita,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one or more which best fit your research focus. Review the project pages for special guidelines and to learn how to collaborate with the project members.

Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

Thank you for volunteering. You are now a full member of WikiTree.

Start with the New Member How-To Pages - they are really useful as you add profiles and learn your way around:

Let me know if you require assistance. I am happy to help. After adding my own family and ancestors I have found many cousins and distant ancestors here on WikiTree.
