Thomas Wheeler migrated to New England during the Puritan Great Migration (1621-1640). (See The Directory, by R. C. Anderson, p. 367) Join: Puritan Great Migration Project Discuss: pgm
Thomas Wheeler "eldest son" born about 1591, the son of Thomas Wheeler (the Elder) and his first wife. Thomas "eldest son" married at Cranfield, Bedford, England on 5 May 1613 to Ann Halsey.[1][2][3]
In his father Thomas' will, he received a bequest as 'my eldest son Thomas' as there was a second son Thomas, referred to in the will as 'my youngest son.' [2] The father was "of the Blake Howse" when he wrote his will but was formerly referred to as "of Wharley (End)" earlier in life when he lived there. The son Thomas, this profile, was then also known as "of Wharley End" before he emigrated just to add to confusion.

Anna or Hannah bp 20 Feb 1617/18. The printed transcript says 15 Fe[b][7][8] Jacobus later uses the 15th date of bpt.[4]
Sarah 27 Dec 1627 or 1628[8] The Ancestry of Lorenzo Ackley changed this making two Sarahs. (One) bpt 10 Aug 1628; d. young, & (Two) bpt 20 June 1630; d. before 1659; m. Thomas Sherwood (c 1624-bef 12 Mar 1698/9)
Sarah (see above) m. Thomas Sherwood
A child William listed in Families of Old Fairfield, was a misreading of Ephraim, son of Thomas "the elder"
Thomas and Ann settled in Concord, Mass. & then to Fairfield Conn, where he died in 1654, she in 1659.[9][10]
Family Note

Notes
From the History of the Wheeler Family in America, 1914, Albert Gallatin Wheeler, Jr: Thomas Wheeler came to America with the Rev. John Jones' Company in the ship Defiance, which landed in New England 3 October 1635, for, with his wife, children, and most probably some grandchildren, he was in Concord as early as 17 April 1636/1637, when he was made freeman there. Of his life in Concord, substantially nothing is known. Being a supporter of the Rev. John Jones at the time of the dissension in the Church at Concord, he became one of those who removed with him to Fairfield in 1644, settling at Pequonnock, on Uncoway Brook, where his home lot of 2.5 acres is recorded, January 1649. This was at Black Rock. His will was dated 16 January 1653/1654, and proved 23 August 1654, mentions his wife Ann. To his eldest son Thomas he gave all of his property in Concord. He also mentions his daughter Sarah Sherwood and her son Thomas Sherwood; and his grandchildren Mary, James, Thomas and John Bennit. His son John was made executor and was to received the estate in Fairfield. [1, 2]

Ellen, specific to Mary, "this" Thomas "of Wharley" and Anne Halsey did not have a daughter Mary based on what seems to be the "best" ha ha research like R.D. and Gordon Boyce Wheeler and others. The Thomas Wheeler-195 "of Borne End" and Rebecca Unknown who DID have Mary already has a daughter Mary Wheeler-1178 attached to them with the same estimated birth date as Mary Wheeler-569 Dodd that you are asking about. So are they duplicates? Maybe. Mary-569 does not currently show a spouse or a death date so it's very possible, the note at the end of her profile says she might be the emigrant to CT but as always, proving it is the tough part.
As has been pointed out before, the children need sorting out as there are obvious errors. See Research Notes on alleged daughter Rebecca for a start. And on alleged daughter Mary who also emigrated. And also on daughter Ann Wheeler Squire.
Threlfall has the children : p. 507-9: Alice (buried) ;Ann (married James Bennett); Thomas (m. Sarah Merriam); Elizabeth (died young): John (m. 1 Judith Turney); Sarah (m. Thomas Sherwood) Then lists a few others who were daughters of 'a Thomas Wheeler' but not necessarily this Thomas.
Looking at the dates - the Add & Corr were printed in 1943 and Ackley-Bosworth is 1960 so I think it's probably an updated version. There's a copy of her bpt on her profile. so I've updated the list of children.
Besides the Rebecca's, there are other children mis-attached here. viz Mary, Ann (Wheeler) Squire, Elizabeth, Sarah (Wheeler) Mitchell and Susanna
I found a source that places Alice who died in 1640 with this family: Jacobus, The ancestry of Lorenzo Ackley & his wife Emma Arabella BosworthPage 54 It may not be correct, but it is Jacobus as the author...
There are two daughters named Rebecca shown, neither of whom are listed in with the rest of the children in the bio. They both married different people. I'm guessing one or both Rebecca's have a different Thomas Wheeler as father
I'm looking at these children. There are two children attached: Alice (bpt 1616) and [[Wheeler-4492|Elizabeth (bpt 1622), who do not belong. They were both bapt in Cranfield but to Thomas Wheeler of Warley/Wharley. Jacobus does not include them in his list of children. Since the scribe clearly identified the father as separate from this Thomas and his father.
I think a new Thomas (groan) should be created, clearly of Warley, and these girls should be attached to him instead.
I did not notice the different wives for the sons Thomas. I do not want to accidentally merge away a family so good catch, I would rather wait if were not sure. Thanks
Wheeler-5768 and Wheeler-197 appear to represent the same person because: The mother on -5768 should be his father's first wife, as is shown in -197. I've added a source to -5768 to American Genealogist affirming that Thomas Wheeler b in about 1591 is the son of this mother (rather than Rebecca Sayre). Birth, death and spouse info match; the only thing that doesn't match is mother, which needs to be corrected to Mary Mynsterley on -5768. Please merge after changing the mother. Thank you.

I don't see anything about Rebecca, Mary or Ann in the research notes.
