Let me explain what will happen if you no longer wish to continue on WikiTree, all of your living profiles will be deleted for privacy reasons, all profiles meeting the 150/200 year rule will be opened up and orphaned so others may adopt them and your personal profile will be deleted. I understand how tough that will be after all the work you have put into building profiles. Is there someone you can transfer your profiles to? If yes, please contact me and I will send you information on how to do that.
Thank you for all of your past contributions and hopefully future contributions.

Thanks!
Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.
Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.
If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.
Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page. Michelle ~ WikiTree Mentor
It takes a while to get wikiTree learned, before it beats us to the punch ....
PATWOODS601 - that's what made me think of Atwood.
WikiTree can be SUPER overwhelming in the beginning. Just let me know if you need help with anything, I'm always happy to help our new folks. :D

I have just the project for you! We just launched the Texas Project, which is part of the US History Project. Texas is led by Mary Richardson, who would love to have you!! I'll let her know you are interested. In the meantime, take a look at the Texas project page and familiarize yourself with the project!
Let me know if you need anything else, and welcome aboard!
