I am checking in on behalf of the 1776 Project to announce the new project membership requirements and to verify that you are still interested in being a member of the project. All project members are being asked to join one of the project teams and also to make at least one project contribution every 6 months. We are also asking all project members to join the project's Google Group for project communications.
If you are interested in remaining with the Project, please reply to this comment or send me a message, request to join the Google Group, and let us know what team you would like to participate on.
We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.
If we don't hear back from you we will assume that you no longer wish to participate in the project and if so, you could rejoin at any time as is convenient for you.
I tracked it down. The message is on the profle of John Phelps-4206. The source on Phelps-6315 says that William Phelps is the son of John and Drucillia. The William Phelps listed on John's page was born in 1763, not the 1740 DOB for Phelps-6315.
Your William has a different wife and seems to have been born too late to have been Drucillia's son. I don't claim I am right, just that this is a possibility.
You sent me an email asking about who Phelps 6315 is. This is https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Phelps-6315. I don't recall what profile you were on when you came across this, so I can't tell you what it means.
Hi Lonnie, I just wanted to say "Congratulations" on becoming one of the newest Red Badged "Generous Genealogist", Your assistance to Wikitree members has been noticed and appreciated by others. Thank you! PS: What does MCPO stand for??
There are category links to add to your ancestor's profiles and research links to learn more about your family. The Project is a good way to consolidate the WikiTree ancestors with historic connections to the years of 1773 (Boston Tea Party) to 1789 (ratification of the U.S. Constitution.) All patriot, loyalist, Hessians, French, Native Americans or any other profiles with a connection to these years should be linked to an appropriate category in the Project.
If you havent already, please set your preferences for your Tags Followed to include 1776 Project and any other tag terms that you wish to follow: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Following
Some categories have a template (SAR) to add at the top of a biography. If not, add a category link by putting the category name such as Template:1776 for those who bore arms in the Revolution and Template:1776 for those who contributed patriotic or civil service. Thank you.
So, welcome to the New Netherland Settlers Project. Please visit our FAQ and feel free to ask any questions you may have. If you're looking for your ancestors that might already be on Wikitree, check out our Immigrants and Progenitors page, though it is not quite complete and does not reflect all of the profiles that already exist.
Hi Lonnie, I'm in the process of merging the duplicates. Please don't create any other profiles for this line at this time. Once these are merged we'll see where we're at. Thank you!
I added some sources as an example of making vital details easier to follow on the profile you created for Elizabeth (Barr) Dunn. I also initiated a couple of merges. After the merges are completed all info is saved and you shall wish to clean-up any identical info.

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.
Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.
If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.
Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.
