DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Kelsey or other carriers of her ancestors' mitochondrial DNA. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Kelsey:

Hello Kelsey! We are related fairly closely in one way, and in really interesting ways in two other ways. And share 6.9 cM or DNA. I will write you a personal letter. I would love to meet you, and discuss this. Thanks!

Hi Kelsey!

Thank you for your time and energy in creating over 1000 (actually, over 2300!) contributions to WikiTree for the month of July 2019. Your efforts are appreciated!

Hi, did you find a source for William Rakestraw’s parents? If so I would be thrilled to see it, please add it to his profile. His supposed parents’ names are on some trees here and there but it’s very rare to prove the English origins of 1600s Quakers. Having the same name as someone in England is unfortunately not conclusive.

Hi Kelsey,

I'm the Ranger on duty and noticed that you are creating pre-1700 ancestors without sources.

Could you please take a few moments to review the Pre-1700 Quiz and the explanations about the sort of sources WikiTree is looking for, as well as this very handy list of sources which are considered "not quite good enough" before you add any more pre-1700 profiles without sources?

Thank you,

Dave ~ WikiTree Ranger on Duty

Hi Kelsey,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Pre-1700 ancestors can be shared by many descendants, so collaboration is essential. You can learn about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

The Virginia subproject of the United States Project may fit your research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find other possibilities. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.

Have questions? Click my name, then ask in the comments on my profile.

Hi Kelsey,

This is a courtesy e-mail to see how things are going. Are you enjoying WikiTree so far?

I see that you uploaded a GEDCOM. Do you have questions about the GEDCOMpare process?

Have the tips in the New Member How-Tos been helpful? Most of us still have some questions after reviewing them.

I'm here to help with issues and questions about how WikiTree works. Click my name to send me a private message or ask in the comment section of my page.
