Hi Ginny,

I saw your recent post on G2G and wanted to invite you to join in our "Weekend Chat".

It's a popular weekly G2G post where many the members visit and share in a variety of topics. New people say "Hi" and introduce themselves, Leaders and Mentors give tips and answer questions, and regulars share updates on their latest projects and victories... anything they wish to chat about. I most enjoy stories of famous or nefarious ancestors.

We'd love to hear form you, stop in when you're able!

Hi again, Ginny,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, here are a few more features you may find useful:

  • Sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. See our process for resolving these situations.

If you have questions or problems with WikiTree, feel free to post a comment on my profile page or send me a private message.

Welcome to the Mayflower Project. Please use G2G to coordinate your work on the Mayflower people with others on WikiTree. Thanks for Joining
I see that you have an interest in DNA study and have taken a DNA test. Would you be interested in starting a One Name Study for either your surname or another name you are researching? The purpose of the One Name Study is to coordinate any WikiTreers who are researching one particular surname and to provide a resource for collaboration.

For instructions on how to get started and suggestions for getting the most out of your study, see: One Name Study

For more information, contact Doug or Alison with any questions.

Hi Ginny,

Thanks for joining WikiTree! As a mentor I'm here to help. If you have questions or problems with WikiTree, post a comment on my profile page or send a private message.

  • Remember to add dates and locations to new profiles. Our vision is to build a collaborative tree with just one profile per person, so make sure to look for duplicates! http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Duplicates

Welcome to the DNA Project:http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:DNA

Please make sure each bit of DNA test information is added to the actual test participant's profile, not someone else's like your own. To make cousin connections, WikiTree needs to see the FamilyTree tab. Check that your Privacy on your profile is set to "Private with Public Family Tree" as a minimum. (Living minors should have an Unlisted privacy level.) Please set your preferences for your Tags Followed to include DNA and other terms on the (G2G) feed:http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Following As you add your family lines and connect to the big WikiTree, you may find new cousins. Use the Relationship calculator to see if you are related to me, Cooper-1 withhttp://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Relationship

Hi Ginny,

Just a quick PS

Don't forget to Head over to the G2G forum. and take a minute to introduce yourself in the Tree House or ask a question in any of the other categories. There's also a brickwall tag in the G2G forum: for that "special" ancestor who is eluding you.

Best Wishes, and have fun adding your leaves and branches!

Thank you for volunteering!

You are now a member of the WikiTree Community! Please remember that we are trying to build one Collaborative Global Family Tree which means only one profile per person. It is important to ensure that no duplicates are created and profiles are properly sourced.

To help you get started, check out an introductory WikiTree video that a member created. For member benefits, see our Community Members page.

We also have a Mentor Team who will be glad to answer questions and help you with any specific problems.

Welcome and Enjoy!
