Mitochondrial DNA test-takers in the direct maternal line:
Aertje and Aeltje are sisters, not the same person. Aertje was baptized 19 Dec 1655, the first child born to Theunis Bogaert and Sarah Rapalje (her 2nd marriage) and Aeltje was baptized 13 Nov 1661, their 4th child. Aertje married Theodorus Polhemus and Aeltje married Cornelis Claesen Kuyper.
There is speculation that the second wife of Pieter Janse Stryker was Aertje Bogaert, but, as far as I can tell, it is only speculation based on the name given for his second wife in his will:
"I leave to my wife Aertie the use of the "Great Southern room"..."
She might be conflated because she was not married prior to Theodorus Polhemius:
Theodorus Polhemius, j.m. from Brazil, on the Island Tamarica, residing at Midwood, with Aartje Anthonis Boogaart, j.d., born and residing within the jurisdiction of Brooklyn.
Bogart-102 and Bogaert-105 appear to represent the same person because: These appear to be the same person because of the same husband and first name as well as only slight variation in spelling of the last name.
Are they the same person?
The matching information on Family Search shows Aaltje Theunise Bogaert married to Cornelius Claessen Kuyper on 11 December, 1681. https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/2W9Z-YP6
"I leave to my wife Aertie the use of the "Great Southern room"..."
Aertje appears to have been a unique name?
And Theodorus mentions her in his will in 1720/21.
Theodorus Polhemius, j.m. from Brazil, on the Island Tamarica, residing at Midwood, with Aartje Anthonis Boogaart, j.d., born and residing within the jurisdiction of Brooklyn.
