Biography
John was born in 1778, the son of James Boggs and Elizabeth Clement. He married Nancy Wells. John passed away in 1843.
The Boggs family were believed to be of a Quaker background. As the Boggs and the Wells families married into close families, such as the Pennington's and Stidham's.
It is said that one of John's son's rode with Jesse James and was called the One-Eyed Kid.
