  • Note: I believe the above date and place comes from this death notice of a Pieter van der Westhuizen^[8]. However, while the calculated birth date is a possible match, it is unclear whether this is indeed the correct notice. The only wife mentioned in the document is Susanna Johanna du Plessies and none of the 4 children listed in the document clearly matches any of this profile's children. So far I have not been able to find this marriage record either.^[9]
