Sandringham Strollers,
Count me in! Carol (Baldwin-3428)
I just joined the Sandringham Strollers. This is my first clean-a-thon, so please keep it simple until I know what I am doing. I could check some of the find-a-graves, for example.
I live in Tucson, Arizona and am originally from Wisconsin. I recently joined the England group and adopted my first 'orphan' earlier this week from Cornwall! I have already received a great deal of information on my orphan from a wonderful person at a Cornwall archives office as well as FamilySearch.
Why England? My paternal ancestors migrated from England to Massachusetts and Connecticut between 1630 and 1650. Several are listed in the Great Migration. One Lawrence ancestor is a descendant of Charlemagne. Another ancestor was John Rogers, the first 'martyr' to be burned at the stake by Bloody Mary. I got some archival information on him at the British Library when I was in London last year.
Please let me know what my clean up aisles are and I will prepare to do my best starting Friday morning, the 26th! Sincerely, Carol (Baldwin-3428)
