Marie Dugas was born in 1667 in Port-Royal, Acadie, Nouvelle-France, daughter of Abraham Dugas (abt. 1616–bef. 1700) and Marguerite Doucet (abt. 1625–1707).
She was counted in the census of 1678 in the home of her parents.[1]
In 1686, at Port Royal, Marie DUGAS, aged 19, was living with her husband, André LEBLANC, aged 26 and their two-year-old son Jean. André was working on the paternal land at Port-Royal. Later that same year, André moved his family to Grand-Pré where he owned his land and a farm.[2]
She was found in Les Mines in 1693, age 26, with four children ages 8 to 1[3]
Marie lived a long life and died in Grand Pré on 13 Jan 1734, aged about 70 years.[4][5][6]
