Biography

I was born in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Pittsburgh. After my parents were divorced, I was raised by my maternal grandmother, Charlotte Knupp Langham, who got me interested in genealogy by telling me stories from her younger days growing up in Indiana County, PA. After her death, I finished college and began my life's journey by moving to New York City and onto Philadelphia which became my new home for 30 years. During the 1990's, I began my research in our family history and had amassed a family tree containing over 25,000 people. Sadly, the computer that stored this precious information crashed, and my history and hard work was gone in an instant. Now that I am retired, I have returned to my hometown to begin this journey again. I have chosen Wikitree as the repository of my family history to insure its preservation in the future.

Hi Ray, is it correct what is shown in Wikitree, that Knupp-311 was married to his sister Unknown-328560? According to newspaper and census info, she was married to Stephen Simones. This marriage to her brother is popping up on the Suggestions Report as a possible error.

Hi again,

I sent you a message a couple of weeks ago on behalf of the Germany Project and have not yet heard back from you. I hope you are well!

If I don’t hear back from you by the end of April, I will assume you no longer wish to be a member of the Germany Project and I’ll go ahead and remove you from our member roster. You are, of course, welcome to rejoin at any time via our G2G sign-up post.

Best wishes,

Traci ~ Germany Project co-leader

Hi,

The Germany Project Leaders are doing their semi-annual check-in with all project members and we want to verify that you’re still interested in being a member of the Project. Please respond by private message and let me know.

REMINDERS: (1) We use Google Groups for project collaboration and you aren’t yet a member of the group, please submit a join request here (make sure to add your name/WikiTree ID to the request). (2) I see you've added German_Roots (our old project name) to your G2G tags, you should also add GERMANY to your followed G2G tags so you don't miss any discussions in G2G (see: Help:Tags#How_to_follow_tags Help:Tags).

Are you currently working with one of our Sub-projects or Teams? If not, take a look at our main Project page for a full list. We recently launched a new Profile Improvement Team and are seeking new team members. Let me know if you’re interested.

We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.

I look forward to hearing from you soon!

As part of a re-vitalization of the WikiTree US Presidents Project we are asking members if they are planning to continue their contributions to the project. We are establishing a page where everyone can identify the President or Vice President that they wish to manage. Just respond to this message to let me know 1) Are you planning to continue with the Project and 2) do you have a specific President or Vice President that you are interested in.

Hello, Ray,

It has been a couple of weeks since we contacted you about your participation in the Military and War Project and we are following up to make sure you wish to remain a member.

We understand that interests shift as we grow our shared tree and that some members may have moved on to projects more pertinent to the branches they are currently building. If this is the case for you, please let us know.

If we do not hear back from you within the week, we will assume you have moved on to other things for the moment and remove you from the project. Please know that you will always be welcome to rejoin should your interests shift back in this direction.

Thank you so much for your participation; we genuinely appreciate it.

Hello, Ray,

On behalf of the Military and War Project Leaders, we are doing a six-month check-in with members.

First, we want to thank you for your past participation in the Military and War Project. We appreciate your desire to honor your ancestors for their service to their countries, or even for your service, wherever in the world. We hope that your membership has enhanced your WikiTree experience.

Please let me know, by commenting on my profile or sending a private message, if you are still active in the project, and if so, in which ways you have contributed to the main project or a sub-project within the last two months.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hi

Wish you a Happy New Year. May 2018 bring you all you need to be happy.

Congratulation for adding your contributions in December. Whatever the quantity of your contributions, they all count. As we always say "Quality is better than quantity" to make a great family tree.

Thank you for being a Wikitreer,

Guy Constantineau - Wikitree leader

Hello, just a word (late) to congratulate you on the contributions you made during the month of November. Whatever the quantity, they are all important.

Your work is appreciated. Thanks Guy Constantineau

Raymond, My thanks goes out to you for knowing and sharing all the information about my family tree. Since my parents were both born Lydic, their tree goes back on itself and looks more like a bush than a tree. I am able to pick up pieces when I have time since the information is right there where you put it. Again, Thank You.

Raymond, do you happen to speak any other languages? Would you check out our languages template and add it to your biography? For example you might add

{{ Languages | en | sk-2 }}

to the top of your biography if you speak English natively and intermediate Slovak, or you could use de-4 to specify near-native German or ru-1 for basic Russian, and so forth up to ten languages.

It really helps to know who speaks all the different languages used on WikiTree! If you only speak English, you're very welcome to use this text to make that clear:

{{ Languages | en }}

Thanks,

Karen
