Hi, im wondering if maybe we can fill some blanks in the Brenton family. I dont know much other than my grandfather Walter resided in California the last few years of his life. My Brenton bloodline is currently living in Washington. I do talk to a lot of my family over there and maybe we could connect some ancestors.
Thank you for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Participation in a Pre-1700 Project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Collaboration is essential because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants.
It looks like the England Project would be a good fit with the tag comment you entered. Adding the tag England will help you get updates about activity for that project.
Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)
I see you are busy again and just noticed your question abut whether my FOTHERGILLs were bookbinders. My first to arrive was from a family of stonemasons as was he.
I am back further in England. Mine lived in Durham. After my direct ancestor William emigrated, his family, lived in the Kilmore and Broadford area of Victoria. My grandfather and his brothers were paper millers
We realise the time has come to dissolve the UK Project in favour of the individual country projects of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.
We are checking in with all UK badge holders to find out which country project(s) you would like to be in so you can collaborate with other members, have the opportunity to select which team(s) you would like to join, and so we can ensure you have all the correct badges.
Please respond by PM to let us know which country project(s) you would like to be in. Please dont assume we know. We are effectively starting from scratch to make sure no one falls through the cracks.
Once you have done this, the Coordinator for Membership in the relevant country project(s) will be in touch to help get you situated.
Hello again Jessie, I had a look at your profile. From what you have on your profile so far, the Fothergill Family that you have seems to come from the London area. I dont know about further back.
On my side, we are from Staffordshire, England. I didnt see anything in common, but, further back, you never know. Im still connecting relatives.
Any help I can give, or any questions I can answer, Id be happy to help.
