Thanks for having a Big Heart and adopting Orphan Profiles. You will want to read this After adopting orphans FAQ to understand what to do next and it explains the special attention those profiles need.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Nice you are adopting. Any chance you can clean up the Duncan Campbell/Mary McCoy mess?
I am still familiarizing myself with these Campbells. Just a few months ago, I traced my ancestry to John Campbell b. ca 1770 +-4 years and his wife Nancy Brown Campbell b. ca 1775, married in Bourbon County, KY in 1794. Their son, George was their oldest son and my ancestor. He left Bourbon County, KY with his future in-laws in 1818 and then his parents and siblings, around nine of them, left Bourbon County, KY in 1823 and disappeared. George appears to have had no further contact with his very large Campbell family.
I have not found any male Campbells from George (and Mary Benn) Campbell, so cannot confirm through Y DNA testing a connection to Hugh and Esther Magill Campbell. I have studied the Campbells of Augusta County, VA a bit to see if I could make a connection. Hence, noticing that un-owned profiles.
John and Nancy Brown Campbell lived in the immediate vicinity of William Campbell, son of Hugh and Esther Magill Campbell. I think I can eliminate my John as one of his sons based on tax lists, however, I do think that that my John and this William were next to one another in the 1793 tax list of Bourbon County, KY so somehow related.
Anyway, I hesitate to put a great deal of effort into the Augusta County, VA Campbells, until I can prove a connection. Proof, one way or another, does not appear to be Bourbon County, KY records. I think Y DNA testing will be the only way to prove this.
If I do prove that connection, I will descend on the Augusta County Campbells like a hoard of locusts.
Cheers,
Kevin
You show "LNU" as the last name for Mary Lnu, Lnu-1040, but I think you meant "Unknown." This typo will keep the profile from being searchable in Wikitree databases. Could you please take a moment and correct the last name at birth to either Unknown or the correct name if you know it?
If you're not sure how to do this, just reply to this message. IMPORTANT – please include the original profile numbers (Lnu-1040) in your reply – I write lots of these letters!! Open your Watchlist box at the top of any profile you manage and type in LNU and fix any others, please.
Thank you for helping to strengthen our collaborative tree.
