I’m going to suggest that the Scotland project might fit your current research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find other possibilities. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.

PS Did you use a mobile device when you created your profile? It looks like something auto-filled a phone number to the Prefix name field. I suggest you edit the profile and remove that.

P.S. To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there.
"I have a Cadell ancestor who supposedly immigrated from Scotland in the early 1700s, but it appears that his parents were from Ireland. I am looking for more information. "
It would be difficult to offer any assistance without further information from you - complete names, places, dates, etc. I don't have any Cadell family in my ancestry but may be able to point you to places/sources to research. Also, I encourage you to join the Scotland group as a member may be able to assist you even further with more information that you can provide. all the best!
