Sourcing those early Berryhills is a tough job. I haven’t even asked on G2G yet due to working so much other stuff. If you find anything at all, add away! I’ll certainly appreciate any assistance you might be able to give. Thanks, Jesse!

Jesse,

I get a small match on GEDcom with you. Only 4.1 CM on Chr 16 with 1,213 SNPs. Potential 5th cousin if I am reading the charts right. I have also found small Elliott matches in Virginia and Kentucky Elliotts, but have not verified any links yet to my SC Elliott dead end.

Sorry I could not be of any help with John Aylett. Anne Elliott 1745, the daughter of Richard 1722..( see Elliott 6463) is the GGG grandma of my wife Margaret. We do have an American connection....LT.Colonel Robert Elliott died in Virginia in 1666. His father was General William Elliott, born and died in England 1583-1652. Robert had a son Thomas who also died in Virginia 1686......Robert was married to Frances Thompson 1612-1658, who appears to be a direct descendant of King James 1V of Scotland 1473, from his mistress Isabel.
