Thank you for adding your DNA Test to yours and your father's profile on WikiTree. Getting Started with DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.
DNA at WikiTree provides a visual way for you to find others who have tested and have the potential of having common ancestors. It normally takes 24 hours from adding a test, or adding a new ancestor, or ancestor’s descendant, for WikiTree to display your name and test results on your ancestors and their descendants’ profiles for potential cousins to compare results with.
Have fun! Mindy ~ WikiTree Volunteer Greeter
PS There is a tutorial for the GEDCOMpare process that others found very helpful. I hope that you will too.
Mindy
I am pleased to confirm and welcome you to the WikiTree family, your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together.
I would suggest starting with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration.
I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site.
Happy tree climbing

The confirmation for WikiTree comes to you as an email, so you may need to check your inbox and spam folder. If you cannot find the email, a new confirmation email can be generated at E-mail confirmation problems.
The other option is to Click here to go to your Home Page to finish adding tags, tag comments and volunteering by clicking the add tags and volunteer button at the bottom of the page.
You can only work on your profile until you add tags, volunteer and are confirmed a Member.
Information on Tags can be found at http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Tags
You can go to my profile by clicking here or my name above this comment to see how tags are used on the right side of my profile.

At WikiTree we do not analyze or store your RAW DNA. We help DNA cousins find each other. We do that by letting you identify which tests you have taken and whether you have uploaded your test to the GEDMatch.com website. To enter Ancestry DNA enter your Ancestry ID just as it appears at Ancestry.com
When you add your DNA test information, it takes about 24 hours for the system to add your profile link to the profiles of your ancestors and their descendants. That is why there need to be profiles for your ancestors. There is more information about that in the Getting Started with DNA FAQ.
Check out that How-To link we will send in your confirmation email, especially the Getting Started with DNA part at the bottom. Then start adding your family profiles.
Please make sure to review any suggested matches because there are lots of profiles already here. You may be able to make a fast connection to the Global WikiTree.

GEDCOMs are not imported, i.e. family trees are not automatically added to WikiTree. After you upload our "GEDCOMpare" tool enables you to conveniently:
Compare your tree with our shared tree. We show you the most likely matches. This can be used by itself — a handy way to see if anyone in your family is already on WikiTree.
Add & edit profiles on our shared tree using your GEDCOM. You add people one at a time after confirming or rejecting suggested matches.
