Hello Mary, yes, I am still very interested. I have not been as attentive to the project as I had hoped but I want to change that. I hope you will allow me a chance to get back to my love for WikiTree and everything it stands for. I have plenty to work with in just my small part of the ever growing tree and I can't wait to put my money where my mouth is, so to speak. I'm going to challenge myself to make a serious effort to put time aside. Thank you for reaching out to me.
Hi Jocelynn, That is the whole purpose of the Check ins. It is to find out if the members are still interested in the project, in working profiles, sourcing, stickers, categories.. I will leave the badge with you. Marking you as intending to be active. And thanks for checking in.
We're doing our semi-annual check-in with members to see if you have been active in the last six months? Please note that it is a requirement for membership in the 1776 Project that you respond to these check-ins.
Please post your reply as a reply to this message on your page, for convenience of the record keeping.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Mary Richardson ~ Project Coordinator,1776 Project
Hello Mary, sorry for the delay. I am most interested in staying on your project if you'd have me. I have been away from this site for far too long and I hope I'll be able to remedy the matter as soon as possible. Thank you for notifying me.
Thank you for your interest in joining the Magna Carta Project. As a new member you are invited to join the project as an Affiliate member where you will gain experience working Pre-1700 profiles and have the opportunity to collaborate with other project members in improving those profiles and Magna Carta lineages. Please review the following project information on the requirements for joining. Once you have done that, simply add the Affiliate sticker to your profile and join the Magna Carta Project Google group (the link is below). It is also recommended that you join and participate in the Magna Carta Post-1500 Team (contact a Team Leader listed on the Team page) where members learn the ins and outs of Medieval genealogy. It's a great way to start.
PS. The connections you found from the Magna Carta surety barons to yourself are to be taken as proposed and may not be accurate, These lines are often unproved and the relationships uncertain. But they are a place to start your research. Working with the project will help you develop the skills needed to prove those Magna Carta connections.
If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

Thank you for adding your DNA Test information to your profile on WikiTree. Your information will be propagated to the profiles of your parents and your ancestors within about 24 hours of being added. It will also propagate to the profiles of the descendants of your ancestors, so they may see your information under the heading "DNA Connections" just as you can see theirs.
Getting started with DNA outlines how to proceed to use your DNA test information on WikiTree and DNA is a link to a collection of links about WikiTree's many features involving DNA.
The DNA Connections list on your profile will provide a visual way for you to find potential relatives on WikiTree who have also added their DNA test information. Using DNA tools at sites like GEDMatch.com, if you find a relative that matches your DNA sufficiently and you have genealogical sources for the intermediate relationships, you can mark the specific parental relationships back to the most recent ancestor that you both share as "confirmed with DNA." For details, guidance, and examples of how to properly document DNA confirmations, see DNA confirmation.
To get the best results, begin adding sourced profiles for your ancestors until you can connect to ancestors already in WikiTree. If you have exhausted what you know on one line, it can sometimes help to add what you know on another line. The more branches you are able to add the greater the likelihood of finding potential cousins to match with. The process of identifying which branch elements of DNA relate to will better enable you to find matches that relate to the particular branches you are researching.
We are so happy to have you here in the WikiTree community! I am pleased to welcome you to the WikiTree family, your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together.
