Bradford Genealogy (1951): Index for Sylvester.  No such person listed. That doesn't mean he is not a WB descendant. Have you reviewed any of the county histories produce later in the 19th century? Google around for his kids. Something on Dad may show up.

Check in with the area historial society that covers these towns. They might have a "vertical file" on him & his career. Best wishes.

George Bradford and Sarah Carpenter of Attleboro Mass had a son Sylvester b. 1780, who moved to Cayuga  NY, who had a son named Sylvester... no DOB listed but early 1800s possible.  Both those names listed in the

Descendants of Governor William Bradford (through the first seven generations)

The 1st Sylvester in listed as #2317 and is in the index, the 2nd is in the book as #8155 but is not in the index.

Saratoga census says Sylvester born in MA, and indicates DOB 1809-10.  Headstone (I took pics) indicates death age 56years old. one of his children's census info says father born in CT.  This Sylvester had children born in Schoharie, NY as well as Wilton, NY... Some people have confused a Sylvester in Wilton NH w/ Wilton NY in their reference.  Not the same guy.  Trying to connect Saratoga (Rev) Sylvester w the Cayuga Sylvester, but no birth docs found.  Info difficult to find as NY did not require documentation to be registered with the towns or the state until later in 18th century.  Any bible info would be helpful  Ironically enough, he had sons who were reverends, and one was a physician.  I did find  Rev Sylvester in the Troy (NY) Conference, but no info on parentage or birth info.

I've posted some sources on Sylvester Bradford's WikiTree profile.  The cited sources suggest Sylvester was born in Massachusetts, probably in Barnstable County, about 1806. A closer look at Barnstable, Massachusetts, may help you find something.
