Hi, I've searched - as well as I know how to search - for birth records for this relative, but I'm stuck here. I'm not even certain if he married Maria Rafael Seferina Cerda. According to my records, his parents' names were Marcelo Antonio Mendoza and Juana Maria Ortiz, but I can't find any birth records of him. I calculate he was born around 1770 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, maybe in the town of Matehuala..
I am specially interested in finding more about the Mendoza side of my family because I just heard that an aunt, who worked for years with a professional genealogist, mentioned once that this genealogist followed our Mendoza branch all the way to El Greco. Unfortunately, my aunt's family doesn't seem to want to share any information about our family tree !! Whether or not this is true, I still carry that lastname, and I'd like very much to know more about our origins
