I am a direct descendant of George Lindsey [ 1775-1852 ] /Agnes Ballew, who lived on Glassy Mtn., Greenville County, S.C. I have a lot of info about their family, but never have been able to postiively I.D. his parents. All I have seen are guesses/assumptions, etc.

                                Thanks,

HI,

I have a George Lindsey B.1744 D 1808 in the family tree I am working on .  He is my husband's 5 Great-Grandfather.  I have him married to Margaret Peggy Bennett B 1747, D 1776. My or may not be the same person.

That George is not my direct descendant . His son, George, Jr. died early 1800's & mine live til 1852. They may have been cousins, though. Thanks !

I have found more information. Your George was a brother to my Edward . Both were sons of Patrick Lindsay & Sarah Swift. I am now trying to find Patrick's parents, who could possibly be out first immigrants to colonial America.
