I have been busy looking for more information on "Elmira Virginia Lynn" (FindAGrave # 25904115) and found on Elmira's death certificate it shows "Cynthia Stanfield" of Tattnall County Georgia as her mother and D.K. as her father. I cannot determine if D. K. could be a mistake and on the FindAGrave # 82733267)  burial for "Cynthia Stanfield" her spouse is William D. Stanfield. There is a death notice which states Cynthia Stanfield leaves her husband W. D. Stanfield, and a daughter, Mrs. Elmira Kicklighter, and two sisters, Mrs. J. L. Hodges, and Mrs. Sarah Ann Tatum of Mendes". Elimira died a widow at her residence 1825 Pearl St. Jacksonville, Fl. and was buried on 9-28-1943 at Loudiwici Ga by Giddens Funeral Home.

I am amazed at how the name is spelt LYMS and should be Lynn. Also I can understand how they got Elmira B instead of Elmira V. B sounds like V. I still have found no information on her parents. I will keep digging and thank you for this info.

So many errors in these documents!  It doesn't help that you can't see the actual record because at times, it is just a misreading of someone else's handwriting. I've seen that often enough and just complicates things more.  Oh well, the pains of genealogy - best wishes.
